Bala J Raman - Co-founder & President

Bala has almost two decades of experience in the high-tech industry. His initial years involved sales and business development roles for Sperry Univac mainframes, Digital VAX superminicomputers and CAD / CAM / CAE solutions from Autotrol, Applicon and SDRC.

Subsequently, he has been evangelizing the benefits of leveraging the Global Delivery Model in technology services business. He was based in the Silicon Valley for a few years and was instrumental in helping companies like Chips & Technologies, MIPS Computers and Mylex take their first offshore development initiative. He was part of the core team that set up the offshore development center for Covansys. Bala has an astute understanding of the challenges in managing the Global Delivery Model and often educates prospects on both the benefits and pitfalls of the offshore model.

Since 1999, as the President and a member of the Board of the company, he has been leading Congruent's efforts in establishing a quality-conscious, customer-centric technology services organization. He set up the US subsidiary Congruent Solutions, Inc. in California and now oversees the entire global operations of Congruent.
